The purpose of the Building, Fire, and Nuisance Codes Board of Appeals is to hear building and fire code appeals in furtherance of Newberry County’s obligation to enforce the standard building and fire codes in accordance with the provisions of Title 6, Chapter 9 and Title 23, Chapter 9 of the Code of Laws of the State of South Carolina and to hear appeals as provided in Chapter 157 – Public Nuisances and Unfit Dwellings of the Code of Ordinances of Newberry County, S.C. Members of the board shall serve a term of three years.
